Welcome to my lovely website! I'm thrilled to have you here and share a little bit about my journey and the inspiration behind my art.

 

My name is Jill, as you may have already gathered, and I've always loved art. From a young age, I loved painting and drawing from a young age as my mum was just so brilliant at it - I wanted to be as good as she was. 

 

I didn't paint or draw for a long time but as my son grew older and needed me less I decided to pick up my paints once again and see if I could remember how to do it!.  I couldn't... I was terrible.... but from that moment I was determined to learn.

As the years have gone by, I've steadily improved and now work with oils, acrylics and watercolour paints too.  Of course I've dabbled with colour pencils and pastels along the way, I mean you have to have ALL the art supplies, don't you....

I taught painting and drawing workshops for a number of years and am taking a break at the moment.  don't worry though, you could have a go at home.  Just check out my online painting tutorials, where you can paint along with me and learn in the comfort of your own home (where no-one can see...)
